Love

' Define Love' , he said in his husky voice. I felt a knot in my stomach, I had no idea how to describe it. " Love is undefined " I said. It is that neurotic enigmatic emotion that connects two souls with a string which is intangible. " So how do you know that you love me? " I whispered softly " I know it because I am conquered by your essence even when you are this far away " He took a deep breath and silence  followed.

Feminism in my light.

Yes, I am a feminist. A self- proclaimed feminist who enjoys being treated as an equal to the opposite sex. That is the kind of equality I seek as a human being. All I am asking is to be treated in the same manner and not being stereotyped. I do not want to be a part of age old discussions like who is better or there are certain things men can do and women cannot. No. Feminism is not about the generalizations of who can do what. It is about being unable to voice opinions in this suppressed  male patriarchal society. All we want is equal respect as human beings and yes, we are surely not asking for role reversals. And we certainly do not want to generalize men too. I have been friends with males who actually are feminists and do believe that women need to have equal rights. Look around yourself, it is those small daily life instances which will give you a better outlook. Don't follow the herd mentality and consider feminists to be the people who hates the opposite sex. No! Infact t...

DESTINY.

I have always been a very rational person. To me, destiny meant a destination we have to reach, for it is written. It was only after reading “ The Alchemist”, I realised how much I as a person contribute in shaping it. Yes, things have been planned for all of us but the path we decide to embark our journey upon totally depends on the choices we make. It took me a lot of time to understand such a simple thing. It is the choices that sculpt us for better or for worse. I’ve learnt that in this sojourn of life, it is the instinct that will influence our thoughts. Follow your instincts, they say. That decision made in a moment, in a blink, is usually the most appropriate decision maker. The heart always knows. Deep down inside each one of us know who we really are and what dreams we nourish. We just have to realise them. I often as a child would wish for a lot of things. Over the years, when I look in retrospect, I realised all my wishes have come true. It was only the path th...

" Log kya kahenge"

People under the twenties bandwagon are always under spectatorship, specially by relatives, cousins and neighbours. They face immense amount of emotional turbulence, sense of insecurity and society's pressure. The entire stigma is about winning the race. Race where you have to be earn a handsome amount of money and get settled in life. For Indians, specifically this means getting married. That is like the ground rule reality in India. You ought to get married in your so called marriageable age or else you are either too late or outcast to fit in. Career wise if you are a female, common "why do have to earn so much?", "you have a man to look over",are some common phrases to be heard. Chronicles of our society are webbed and dusted and they truly need to be spoken against.  People give into pressures, when they cannot hear people taunt anymore. Analytically speaking in India we make more decisions based on our family and society's view. For surviving in th...

An Extract.

We are so enthralled by the concept of "love". So overwhelmed and blinded by the idea of true love and soulmate. Our society revolves around fairy tales enchanting the young girls into believing that there is a prince charming for you, waiting somewhere to rescue you from the world, to protect you , to love you with all his virtue and valor. How do you not expect a young girl to fantasize about this prince charming with so many perfections and heroic persona, I mean I would love to date one. Unfortunately, the fairy tales are only illusion's of a hypothetical world. The real world does not harbor perfect people, we are all flawed. On the contrary, females are fighting for equality and here we are teaching young girls tales of prince charming crap. I think these stories should be altered. Females must understand that no prince charming exists, everybody has flaws and yes no one, absolutely no-one can protect you from this cruel world. You have to get hurt, to understan...

The pain.

Poems have a unique way of expression! Here is the one I wrote long time back... Desperate needs.. Hasty deeds.. unforgettable past.. powerful blast.. chasing a dream.. flowing in a stream.. departed souls.. untraceable holes.. Pain with in.. lies deep in.. powerful emotions... Neurotic demotions... shallowness in the heart... pricks me like a dart... The vindicating pain... A forlorn game... Life is a tough bitch.. Like a rain struck ditch... I wish i get the rain... to drench my aching PAIN...!

THE AIRCRAFT VISIONARY

I like to travel by air. Siting in the aircraft and experiencing that sweet twirl in the stomach when the plane takes off is what that I like the most. journeys are always a Pandora to see , observe other people. To see how they react, behave and to imagine the kind of lifes they live. The kind of dreams and aspirations they endure. Its a very very lucrative experience. One can easily spend hours gazing at people and wondering about their lives. Amidst my journey, I feel a persistent vacuum , a self realization of things and goals that matter to me. This is probably the best time think about yourself, sitting all alone with thoughts in your head surrounded by strange ,unknown people. No body by far bothering you or is there to break that bubble of thoughts you have been enduring. So what kind of thoughts get me dunk in my seat and make me write are pretty hay-wire to begin. I am thinking about the vast potential a person holds, that caliber and capacity to scale heights reaching sky. ...
